Sweet Kaitlyn’s Second Birthday

March sixth marks a very important date on our Wall calendar! It’s Huntley’s Wela (grandma) Monique and cousin Kaitlyn‘s birthdays and now a fellow blogging mommy friend‘s newest addition Lewis’s birthday as well! We decided to meet up at only the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland, to celebrate K’s second birthday! It’s truly so much fun seeing these girls interact these days and I’m excited to see how they interact as they get older!

Happiest Place on Earth

How did we get so lucky in life?

Pinch me, I must be dreaming!

Since we’ve become season pass holders, Disneyland has become our park. You know, like the one you just walk around and play at. But instead of swings and a sandboxes we have It’s a Small World, Little Mermaid, and Toon-Town to run around and play with. We are fortunate enough to be able to purchase the passes while Huntley is still within free admission age. We are fortunate enough to live so close to Disneyland (only 15mins away on one local street). I had also planned out how I would make having Disneyland passes worth it and how we could save money through other Disneyland cost factors (i.e. parking, eating, princess dresses, etc.), but I’ll get into that in another post.

As soon as we decided to have kids, Tanner and I would talk about not spoiling our children, but here she is, our first child, an eleven-month-old who, on average, goes to Disneyland about two times a week with her cousin Kaitlyn. And first entered the park grounds at only two weeks old through one of Tanner’s work functions. How did we become those parents? Those parents that spoil their children. Simple, most of the parents around us are doing just the same. We all want to give our children the best that we can give. We all want to fill our children’s hearts and minds with happiness and joy. We all want to keep them entertained throughout the day(s) as best we can. And we all want some peace and quiet at the end of the day after wearing our little ones out so that not only we get sleep, but they too can have a good night’s rest. And hopefully with the sweetest dreams they can imagine – perhaps created from the “happiest place on earth” Disneyland. I am truly thankful for all that we get to experience through Huntley’s first year, that including seeing her light up on her favorite rides, dance to her favorite songs, and even watch fake snow fall down Main Street. I will forever remember these moments for her, even if she doesn’t, and I will do my best to capture these moments to share with her.
